Building on the skills acquired in the Introduction to Solid Modeling and Advanced Part Modeling courses, this training is designed to elevate your productivity when creating and working with complex assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.
Course Overview
This advanced course begins by focusing on the Top-Down Design workflow, teaching you how to use tools like Derive, Multi-Body Design, and Layouts to achieve this approach. You’ll also explore model simplification tools, positional representations, model states, iMates, iAssemblies, Frame Generator, Design Accelerator, and file management and duplication techniques. Additionally, the course includes a chapter dedicated to rendering, producing, and animating realistic images in Autodesk Inventor Studio.

- Motion Constraints: Apply motion to existing assembly constraints using Motion and Transitional constraints to simulate realistic movement.
- Top-Down Design Techniques: Master the Top-Down Design technique for creating assemblies and components, utilizing tools such as associative links, adaptive parts, multi-body and layout design, derived components, and skeleton models.
- Positional Representations: Create positional representations to review motion, evaluate component positions, or document assemblies in drawings.
- Model Simplification: Use model simplification tools to create simplified part models and views of complex assembly designs.
- Customizable Assemblies: Create model states and iAssemblies for customizable versions of your assembly designs.
- Realistic Rendering and Animation: Produce rendered realistic images and animations of parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor Studio and the Video Producer.
- Design Accelerator and Frame Generator: Easily insert standard and customizable components and features into your models with these powerful tools.
- Efficient Component Duplication: Learn techniques for efficiently duplicating components within an assembly.
- Weldment Assemblies: Add welds and weld symbols to your weldment assemblies for detailed documentation and analysis.
Prerequisites:
- Ensure you have access to the latest version of Autodesk Inventor for full compatibility. Please note that updates from Autodesk may introduce changes not covered in this course.
- This course assumes mastery of the basics of Autodesk Inventor as taught in the Introduction to Solid Modeling course. Additionally, knowledge from the Advanced Part Modeling course is recommended.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is required for certain aspects of this training.
