One bound DWG, one duplicated view or one oversized family may appear harmless. Over time, these issues accumulate until the model becomes slow, difficult to manage and increasingly risky to hand over.
Send us your Revit model and we will run a comprehensive, read-only Model Audit across its elements, families, views, worksets, links, materials, standards, data and warnings.
You receive a structured report showing what was found, why it matters and where your team should focus first.
No plugin or additional licence is required, and your original Revit model is never modified.
What the Model Audit examines

Model composition: Elements, categories, families, types and worksets are analysed to identify where complexity and model weight are concentrated.

Families and content: Unused, duplicated, in-place and potentially oversized families are highlighted, including actual loadable family sizes where required.

Imported CAD and standards: Bound or imported DWG and DXF geometry, CAD-generated line styles, line patterns and object styles are identified.

Views and performance: Heavy display styles, uncropped views, 3D views without section boxes, excessive filters, missing templates and orphaned views are flagged.

Model integrity: Shared coordinates, survey and base points, true north, distance from the internal origin, links, worksets, phasing and design options are reviewed.

Data completeness: Relevant categories are assessed for missing Mark, Type Mark, Material, Classification, Fire Rating and Project Information data.

Warnings: Warnings are grouped by type and prioritised by likely impact, helping your team distinguish urgent problems from lower-priority housekeeping.

Every service level includes a professionally formatted, multi-sheet Excel report covering the model summary, categories, worksets, families, elements, standards, views, integrity, data completeness, warnings and action items.

The audit is read-only. Your original Revit model is never overwritten, repaired or modified.
Important service information
Pricing is per Revit model. Linked files may be supplied for context, but each file requiring its own audit and report must be purchased as an additional model.
The audit is a point-in-time assessment of the model as supplied. Model clean-up, remediation, standards implementation and corrective work are not included. If required, Modena can provide a separate quotation to help resolve the identified issues.
Where the model must be reviewed against a BIM Execution Plan, Employer’s Information Requirements, client standard or other project-specific requirement, please provide the relevant documentation when submitting the model.
Prefer to run audits yourself?
Model Audit for Autodesk Revit is also available as a Modena Suite plugin. It allows your team to analyse models locally, navigate directly to identified elements and export comprehensive audit reports whenever required.
The managed service is the better choice when you want Modena to run the audit, interpret the findings and help determine what should happen next.
